Good game for Resistance fans.Writing a review is difficult because you have to assume their is a fundamental agreement upon standards that make a game noteworthy or a dud. Add to this gender, culture, or age difference; and a consensus as to why the games failed or succeed is hard to reach.

With Resistance 3 you have an easier task as the shooter genre is so voluminous that basic well established standards can be applied: I.e. Compelling antagonists, functionally intelligent AI's, intutive game controls, imaginative environments and storylines that makes the game player hesitant to place the controller down. Here with these basic elements (though others could be added and in different order of importance) a letter grade of B- or 7 and a half out of 10 is appropriate. Let’s begin with the examination of a compelling a ntagonist in the story.

In Resistance 3 you have a traditional alien hoard threatening to take over the world as you fight to protect your love ones. Not exactly an original plotline. But lets be honest here; this is game 3 and if you fount the aliens enough of a menace that you wanted to pump them full of lead in parts 1 and 2.then the antagonists have not changed sufficiently that you wont be eager to eradicate them from the face of the planet in Resistance 3. So know points off here for badass-ness. But I am giving Resistance 3 a two and a half point deduction for lack originality and failure to make the alien characters distinct or memorable beyond the generic bad-ees. Dido for functionally intelligent AI'sIf you like the AI’s in Resistance 1 and 2 then you will probably enjoy them in 3.

Two and a half point deduction again for lack of originality. As it relates to game controls, I hate to be a repeating record but if you played 1 and 2 then you will have know complaints about the third installment. The controls are familiar as is the characters responsive to direction. I recall know awkward camera angels, distortion, or distraction that removes the player from the game.

Here in this area Resistance 3 has maintained a consistent high standard, and where maintaining a high level of craftsmanship throughout all three games is laudable. The remaining two standard categories of imaginative environments and storyline are done with aplomb. The environments are challenging. The characters movement along the Eastern U.S. Keeps the player engaged in a goal and moves the player to a final concluding outcome. The motivation of the lead character is his concern for his wife and child that he has left behind. This is a universal theme of hearth and home that elicits instant player identification without engrossing the player in overly drawn out character or story development. Hyperunique.

This plays well for a game whose primary purpose is a shooter with an implicit promise to gamers to kill multitudes of aliens and monsters Here it delivers. If however you are searching for originality in either of the environment or storyline you may find yourself disappointed. A number of shooters have similar environment and storyline elements, including Resistance 1 & 2. But once again originality is not the theme of the day for Resistance 3. It is a concluding story with lots of gun play, familiar challenges, and enemies. If you are a Resistance fan then buy Resistance 3.

If not then wait for a bargain basement price or try similar games. For advent Resistance fans this is a concluding story must have. For everyone else keep it in mind to play. All in all it's a good time.I bought this game because I was interested in playing a first person shooter with Playstation move. I have the sub-machine gun for playstation move and I think that is the only way to play this game.

The controls take some getting used to at first, you have to learn how far to point off screen to rotate at the correct speed. I did a lot of over-rotating at first, I found the best way was to start slow and work your way up. The gameplay itself is great. Graphics are less than impressive, but the interface makes up for that. Great look, great weapons and controls, but just too much.I wish that developers would realize that there is such a thing as too much.

The thing I liked about the first Resistance was that you could fight a strategic, well earned battle. It was difficult enough to make it highly rewarding once you made it past a particular area. Not so with this one.

It is mostly just mass chaos. You enter a fight and there are bullets everywhere, lights whizzing on the screen so much you can't tell where they're coming from or whose it is. Eventually, you'll just have to run out with the trigger down, shooting in circles, hoping you run into health before you die.

It's the exact reason why I cannot stand Call of Duty. I guess they figure the more noises and crap on the screen, the better the game is.If you haven't played the first Resistance, get that. Otherwis e, get a good game, like any of the Uncharted titles. Skip this one. 1 of the best FPS in the PS3 system.A great game.

Nothing less to expect from the guys at Insomniac, but this Resistance 3 has much more to offer than the previous two games. First off, the famous weapon wheel is back and better. The new weapons in this game offers much more strategy than the previous two games where it was run and gun most of the time. I'd have to say based on my own experience this game is not as boring as some would say. This game offers the creeps with detailed intel reports and creepy audio messages. Moreover, the cutscenes and flashbacks in this game gives off the good old 'MGS' theatrical vibe, which is of course, one of the best games to integrate movie like elements into a game.

The new multiplayer is a vast improvement from No.2 and is just downright fun. Yes, FUN, the one and only thing important in online gaming. Overall, this game is worth your money and time, offers a brilliant and well crafted story along with all those exciting quirks and what not that will make you game out of your mind. If you do decide to pick this game up, just get ready for the 'awesomeness' as many of my peers would say.
